So, not building from the ground up, just re-allocating space in a theater and turning it into a shop. This was moving along nicely, getting organised, arranging tools and the like when my Father called. He said " I'm moving to California and I'm not taking my tools with me." This meant I need to drive down to Virginia and load anything I wanted in a box truck anf bring it back to NY. So, my fiance and I rented a car and drove on down and swapped the car for a 16 foot truck and proceeded to fill it with my fathers shop and then some. We came back with two bandsaws, a contractor grade tablesaw, scroll-saw, seven inch jointer, and a four hundred pound planer that can accept 8x16 in lumber. Beyond that there are a multitude of bench and hand tools, and twenty boxes of books ranging from ship building and navigation to German science books written in the 1790's. Not to mention three dining room tables and a couple of Persian rugs.

Now the task of incorporating all these tools into the shop at work. at least until I either leave this job or have a space of my own in which to use them.

It's also a good thing I built a lounge at the back of the shop, now I have somewhere to build bookcases and keep my rugs and tables too.
